Mode Search is supporting a leading fashion supplier in the search for a dynamic and commercially minded Data Analyst to join their growing team.


This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, trend-led fashion business with a strong presence across major UK retail channels. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping how data drives commercial decision-making across trading, pricing, and supply chain operations.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling data solutions to support the business’s commercial and trading functions. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and commercial strategy — ideal for someone who thrives on translating complex data into actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines to support trading, pricing, and product availability decisions
  • Develop and maintain data models that provide meaningful insight into supplier performance, customer demand, and margin analysis
  • Collaborate with trading, commercial, and supply chain teams to deliver high-impact dashboards and reporting tools
  • Use SQL and Python (or a similar language) to automate processes and improve reporting efficiency
  • Apply commercial thinking to interpret trends and performance data, helping to guide strategic decisions
  • Ensure high standards of data accuracy and consistency across all reporting sources
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to support trading initiatives and category performance reviews
  • Utilise BI tools (such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau) to present clear, data-driven insights to stakeholders
