Step 1 – CompTIA Data+ Qualification

The first step is completing the CompTIA Data+ Qualification accredited by CompTIA. This professional international industry‑recognised qualification teaches essential skills such as data mining, manipulating data, visualising data, and reporting on data.


Study time: ~30 hours. Assessment: 1‑hour multiple‑choice exam. The course is online and comes with exam simulators and revision tools. A tutor and a 1‑hour online revision workshop are provided before the exam.


Step 2 – Data Administration Training

Data is extracted using various methods, normally IT driven. To ensure you are suitably employable we provide additional courses:



  • Microsoft Excel – advanced level
  • Learn SQL – programming language used for complex databases
  • Learn Python 3 – simple language used by many analysts
  • Learn Tableau – tool to build visually appealing dashboards

Study time: 30‑60 hours. No exam required.


Step 3 – Business Analysis Foundation

Data Analysts often work closely with Business Analysts and many transition between roles. A Business Analyst Foundation certificate improves employability and enables crossover. Accredited by BCS (British Computer Society). Study time: ~15 hours; qualification achieved through an online BCS exam.


Step 4 – Recruitment Support

Once qualified, our recruitment support team helps secure your first suitable entry‑level role based on your new qualifications and any other experience you may have. They will assist with CV review, mock interviews and interview prep.
