Financial Markets department covers both trading book and banking book activities for Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited. As a Data Analyst - Mandarin Speaking, you will support the Treasury Markets Desk with daily operations. You will play a pivotal role in data consolidation and analysis, preparing reports across departments and Management. This is a full time 12 months fixed term contract position.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Money Markets Desk working alongside senior dealers on data collection and data analysis
  • Liaise with Financial Markets Middle Office, Financial Management department and Head Office on data reconciliation
  • Collaborate with other department in providing weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly management reports to line managers and Head Office
  • Collect and calculate Bloomberg and Refinitiv invoice submission for the Bank
  • Act as risk coordinator for the Team
  • Support with projects from ideation to execution when required

Requirements

  • Degree educate in Banking, Finance or other equivalent
  • Relevant professional qualification as required (i.e. PRA/FCA Registered Exams or Exemptions) is preferred
  • CISI: Unit 1 - UK Financial Regulations (Obtained or working towars) is preferred
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Excellent reporting skills  
  • Good attention to detail and able to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly in the use of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with market data sources and knowledge of Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters is preferred
  • Experience in invoice submission is required
  • High level of organisation skills
  • Eager to learn and with good problem solving skills
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
  • Team player
