BDS are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst to work with a well-known Waste Management to support performance reporting and continuous improvement across our Isle of Wight operations. This role is responsible for collecting, validating, analysing, and presenting data to support the delivery of contract objectives and compliance reporting.

  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

  • Location: Isle of Wight PO30 5YS

  • Pay rate; £30,000 (£15.38 p/h) - £33,000 (£16.92 p/h) Dependant on experience

  • 3 month initial requirement with the potential to go perm for the right person

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the collection, validation, and presentation of operational data using spreadsheets, databases, and reporting systems.

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of performance data to meet internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Analyse performance trends and identify areas for improvement, providing reports to managers and other stakeholders.

  • Support statutory and contractual reporting, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and service compliance.

  • Work with operational and compliance teams to support performance improvement activity.

  • Assist in the preparation of internal reports and dashboards, ensuring data is clearly presented and accessible.

    Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (including data handling and presentation).

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Experience working with large datasets or operational performance data (desirable).

  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly to different audiences.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.

    Qualifications:

  • Evidence of qualification or equivalent experience in data analysis, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.

  • This role may suit someone currently working in a data or administrative function who is looking to develop their skills further in performance analysis and reporting.
