About Role:

We are seeking aData Analyst IIIto join theContent teamatLexisNexis IP. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert in intellectual property (IP) data, leading the transformation and enrichment of structured patent and related datasets into high-quality, insight-ready content.

Collaborating across Product, Technology, Customer Success, and other departments, you will support the development of advanced enhancements—such aspatent landscapes,claim charting, andAI-enabled enrichment initiatives. You’ll help shape how AI models integrate into content pipelines and how structured and unstructured IP data is activated for value across our products.

Operating with limited supervision, you will contribute to cross-functional projects of intermediate complexity, ensuring data quality, usability, and strategic value across platforms. A critical part of this role includesevaluating and validating outputs from generative AI systems—assessing the quality, relevance, and reliability of AI-generated insights to help inform product design, data enrichment workflows, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert in IP content, advising on data structures, enrichment opportunities, and usage across products and tools.

Lead analytics and enrichment projects for structured IP data, including transformation, modeling, and output validation.

Identify and explore adjacent IP datasets to expand and enhance LexisNexis IP offerings.

Support the creation of advanced enrichment layers such as patent landscapes, claim charting, and concept classification, including those powered by generative AI.

Evaluate and monitor outputs from AI-driven tools and generative models, distinguishing high-quality results from low-quality ones and providing structured feedback to improve AI performance and training alignment.

Help define evaluation criteria and success benchmarks for AI-generated content, contributing to the ongoing refinement of both enrichment workflows and user-facing product experiences.

Prepare, transform, and model complex structured datasets using SQL, Python, and modern data tooling.

Develop clear and intuitive visualizations and dashboards that support communication across technical and business teams.

Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to ensure content aligns with roadmap objectives, technical constraints, and customer needs.

Contribute to internal standards for data quality, vendor dataset integration, metadata normalization, and responsible AI use.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Science, or a related quantitative discipline.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in data analysis, content enrichment, or structured content curation—preferably in the IP, legal, or technical data space.

Familiarity with IP metadata standards such asINPADOC,CPC,WIPO ST.36/ST.96, orEP/USPTO-specific schemas.

Proficiency in SQL and Python or R.

Experience with data tools such as Databricks, Tableau, or Power BI.

Exposure to generative AI systems, ML model evaluation, or LLM applications in content processing is a strong plus.

Soft Skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills—able to explain complex data concepts to varied audiences.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Sound judgment in assessing qualitative outputs, particularly in contexts involving AI-generated text, classifications, or enrichment suggestions.

Proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently on parallel initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
