What You’ll Be Doing

This role supports Camden’s Education Commissioning and Inclusion division by working with data from various sources to create tailored data products. Key responsibilities include completing statutory returns (e.g., School Capacity Survey), developing self-serve tools for monitoring education services, and delivering analysis to inform strategic decisions. You’ll calculate and advise on performance indicators, handle Freedom of Information requests, and collaborate with schools using DfE systems like ASP, GIAP, GIAS, and Collect. Staying informed on best practices and relevant research is essential.

 

All About You

As a Camden Data Analyst, you will have a body of knowledge and experience in the skills, tools and techniques of Data Analytics and you will apply to this effectively to support us in delivering for the people of Camden.

You will be a skilled data professional who can turn complex information into clear insights that drive decision-making. With experience in data analysis, modelling, and visualisation, you work confidently across a range of tools including Excel, SQL, Python, and Tableau. You understand data governance and quality assurance, and you’re comfortable managing data risk and ensuring privacy.

You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues, helping build a strong data culture and improving data literacy across the organisation. You’re creative and logical in solving problems, and your work supports service design, policy, and strategic planning. You also bring a solid grasp of project management and statistical methods, using these skills to lead on reporting, develop new solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement.
