I am lucky enough to be working with a global consultancy as they grow their footprint. They are looking to add a Data Analyst on a permanent basis. This role will be based in Cardiff or Bristol; therefore, you will need to be commutable to one or the other or even both up to 3 days a week.


Please only apply if you are commutable to either location, I am afraid remote or relocators will not be considered at this stage. Please also note that we cannot accept those on a short VISA or PSWV as the client cannot sponsor now or in the future.


As Data Analyst, you will lead on the delivery of strategic insights that drive business decisions across commercial, operational, and product teams. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels, building data solutions, automating processes, and designing powerful dashboards usingPower BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, and Azure.


Data Analyst Specification:


  • Lead end-to-end delivery of data projects, from requirements gathering through to insight generation and stakeholder communication.
  • Design and build interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau, tailored to different business audiences.
  • Develop and manage robust data pipelines using Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL-based ETLs.
  • Champion data quality and governance across multiple functions.
  • Partner with business units to embed data-driven decision-making and improve existing analytics capabilities.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior analysts.
  • Support ad-hoc and strategic reporting requirements across finance, operations, product, and marketing.
  • Create and maintain forecasting models to support planning and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure scalable data architecture and automation of reporting.
  • Translate analytical findings into business-friendly narratives for C-level and non-technical stakeholders.
  • 5+ years in a data analyst or business intelligence role, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights
  • Expert inPower BI,Tableau,Advanced Excel, andSQL
  • Strong experience withAzure Data Tools,Microsoft Fabric, and/orAzure Synapse Analytics
  • Hands-on experience withPythonand working with APIs and SFTP data connectors
  • Knowledge ofdata modelling,ETL pipelines, anddata governance principles
  • Demonstrable experience instakeholder engagement, especially with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent data storytelling and presentation skills
  • Experience in process automation and system improvements
  • Understanding of Agile project delivery and backlog management
  • Background in mentoring or developing junior team members
