Yext is seeking a talented and business-oriented solicitor to join its Legal team asCommercial Counsel, UK. In this position, you will focus on a variety of complex and routine legal matters mainly involving commercial contracts, but you may be needed to assist with privacy and data law, and intellectual property. This position will be based in our London, U.K., office, in a hybrid role.

What Youll Do

  1. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements – primarily SaaS subscription agreements – across our Enterprise, Partner and SMB sales teams.
  2. Improving and maintaining our standard commercial agreements, contract negotiation playbooks and legal processes to help us scale globally.
  3. Proactively working with internal clients to improve and scale all aspects of the sales contract negotiation process.
  4. Reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements in support of Yext procurement.
  5. Conducting periodic employee trainings on all of the above.
  6. Provide occasional support on intellectual property matters in Europe.
  7. Research and advise on privacy matters with particular focus on UK-US data transfers.

What You Have

  1. 3-6 years PQE and corporate or commercial experience at a leading law firm, in-house, or a combination thereof.
  2. Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  3. Qualified to practice law in England & Wales.
  4. Experience with software, content distribution and general commercial agreements within the online media or technology industry preferred.
  5. Flexibility and eagerness to work hard in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  6. Highly organized, process-driven and client-focused team player.
