We have several placement opportunities at Farnborough for you to gain exposure to many areas of the business, reporting and using data to advance departments such as Commercial Steering & Insight. Business Line Controlling, Operations Analytics and Service Management.

TheCommercial Steering & InsightTeam is responsible for providing reporting and insight across the whole of the B2B business, and for making recommendations as to how we can ensure the ongoing success of the overall B2B business.

Analysis of performance by sales channel, highlighting variance to targets and make innovative recommendations to optimise results. Creation of actionable sales reporting using Salesforce that enables sales managers to monitor and steer their team activity. Assist with challenging business decisions at a senior level by producing analysis to demonstrate the impact of strategies and forecasts.

TheBusiness Line Controllingteam is responsible for all aspects of financial control, planning and reporting for BMW Financial Services in the UK and Ireland. We provide timely and accurate financial management reporting to the senior management team to allow them to make informed and accurate decisions.

Assist with challenging business decisions at a senior level by producing analysis to demonstrate the impact of strategies and forecasts. Report, validate and submit key financial KPI data to Munich monthly. Analyse overhead expenditures to ensure accurate cost centre expenditure and control.

TheOperations Analysisteam is responsible for analysing key performance indicators, monitoring operational resilience, and automating business processes using robotics. They are at the forefront of process governance and continuous improvement, working to empower all members of our organisation with the skills and knowledge to make positive changes to their processes.

Producing regular management information to support key operational decision making. Monitoring the ability of BMW Financial Services to adapt, respond, recover and learn from operational disruption through the Operational Resilience programme. Supporting in the maintenance and development of global Key Performance Indicator reporting, identifying trends and benchmarking against other BMW markets.

TheServices Managementteam are responsible for all of Alphabet’s in-life products and services, including Tyre, Service Maintenance and Repair authorisations, Breakdown Recovery, MOT and Tax management, ancillary products such as Driver Risk, Glass, Accident Management and more. With a total turnover of around £1billion annually this is a highly influential department with significant opportunity to make a positive impact through insight and analysis. Big Data is more than just a buzz word, it’s the future of customer service. By collecting, collating, storing and ordering our data we can employ Data Analytics to get to the heart of how our customers act, what they want, and how best to serve them.

Build and maintain relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers to ensure an optimised level of service delivery and cost reduction. Supporting in the maintenance of Key Performance Indicator reporting, identifying trends to drive focus topics. Identify opportunities for improvement and lead projects to deliver quantifiable improvements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Studying towards a Bachelors degree in Business Studies, Finance, Economics, Maths, or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:2. Confident user of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability and desire to learn new reporting tools quickly and easily. Ability to use your initiative and manage your own projects/workload autonomously. Good written and verbal communication skills. Analytical and objective approach to problem solving.
