Band 8 NHS Data Architect/Designer (Google Cloud) Rate: £236 per day Inside IR35 Duration: Initial 6 Months (Rolling) Location: Cardiff, Wales.

A healthcare client is seeking a Band 8 NHS Data Architect/Designer to play a key role in defining and implementing the technical architecture of the National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP) .

This role will focus on designing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based data solutions to support healthcare analytics and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Define and implement technical strategies, architectures, and data models on Google Cloud Platform.

Lead the design and delivery of cloud-based data engineering, DevOps, and automation solutions .

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to establish best practices.

Ensure security, compliance, and performance of cloud-based data solutions.

Guide and mentor teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation .

Drive the adoption of architectural principles and data governance standards .

Essential Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Data Architect/Designer working on large-scale cloud data projects .

Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for data and analytics.

Ability to define technical roadmaps, architectural best practices, and governance frameworks .

Hands-on experience in data engineering, DevOps, and cloud automation .

Strong understanding of data modelling, metadata management, and data governance .

Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders , providing clear architectural direction.
