Role Introduction

Join our team, where our customers and cloud technology are at the core of everything we do. As a Professional Services Azure Architect, you will play an important role in guiding customers on their cloud journey, from architectural design, delivery and into operational support. You will be a trusted expert, providing best practice guidance on technical architecture, cost optimization, security, and governance principles.

What You Will Do

  1. Collaborate with the pre-sales team on Azure opportunities.
  2. Guide customers through their journey with OneAdvanced, from understanding technical/non-technical requirements to delivery and operational support.
  3. Architect and migrate customer infrastructure to Microsoft Azure.
  4. Design and deploy secure, best practice-compliant technical solutions that align with the customer’s overall IT strategy.
  5. Serve as a Cloud Advisor for OneAdvanced customers, optimizing costs, performance, and advising on best practice security methods while achieving operational excellence.
  6. Implement and manage Azure solutions with a focus on automation and DevOps practices.
  7. Work across customer and OneAdvanced operational teams to design and deploy robust cloud environments.
  8. Demonstrate commercial acumen, understanding the financial aspects of Azure.
  9. Maintain strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  10. Act as an ambassador for OneAdvanced, building trust within the customer environment.
  11. Proven experience (ideally 5+ years) in migrating customers to Microsoft Azure.
  12. Deep understanding of DevOps practices and cloud networking.

What You Will Have

  1. Proficiency in core Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Functions.
  2. Expertise in cloud architecture, including designing and implementing public and private cloud solutions.
  3. Strong data management skills, including data storage solutions, data migration, and database management using Azure.
  4. Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, automation, and collaboration.
  5. Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Python for automating tasks and managing Azure resources.
  6. In-depth knowledge of Azure networking components, including hub & spoke topology, vWAN, and Azure Firewall.
  7. Experience in designing and implementing Azure resources with a zero-trust approach, enforcing least-privilege access principles, and assuming breach to limit risk.
  8. Comfortable with creating and/or maintaining architectural documentation including LLD/HLDs.
  9. Knowledge of Azure AI services and tools, such as Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Studio.
  10. The ability to lead technical projects and work with other technical teams to deliver to project closure.
  11. Strong problem-solving abilities and effective troubleshooting skills.
  12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  13. (Big Picture) mindset, and working with customers to transform their infrastructure.
  14. Technical experience in:
    1. Cloud Migrations
    2. Infrastructure as Code (ideally Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation
    3. Azure Networking
    4. Azure Identity
    5. Azure Virtual Desktop
    6. Cloud-native architecture (containers, serverless, and other services)
    7. Hybrid Cloud environments

  • (AZ-104) Microsoft Azure Administrator
  • (AZ-305) Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • (AZ-500) Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate – Desirable
  • (AZ-700) Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate – Desirable
  • (AZ-140) Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty – Desirable
