About the Team

Join our Product Analytics team within Research Products, where we transform data into actionable insights to improve digital products. We value curiosity, collaboration, and a passion for making data-driven decisions. Our team uses tools like SQL, Python/R, Tableau, and Adobe Analytics to uncover opportunities and drive product improvements.


About the Role

In this role, you will lead the Product Analytics scope on one or more of our fast-growing, innovative, world-leading products such as ScienceDirect, the world’s biggest scientific publishing platform. You will be part of a large analytics team (30+ analysts) located in London and Amsterdam, working with product teams and other stakeholders across US, UK and the Netherlands.


Responsibilities

  • Define metrics that reflect user success and satisfaction, working closely with stakeholders.
  • Build dashboards and reports to track product performance and user engagement.
  • Use data analysis and experimentation (including A/B testing) to identify and validate opportunities for improvement.
  • Support strategic decisions by combining data from various sources to answer key business questions.
  • Communicate insights clearly and advocate for a data-driven culture across the organization.

Requirements

  • Growth mindset: Enthusiasm for learning and adapting.
  • Experience in data analysis, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving projects to completion.
  • Proficiency with SQL and a strong understanding of data-driven problem solving.
  • Effective communicator, fluent in English, with experience presenting findings to varied audiences.
  • Ability to work inclusively with colleagues from different backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Experience in product analytics, digital product optimization, A/B testing, and web analytics.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Python/R, cloud data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift), and analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, Tableau).
  • Experience working in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.
