Introduction

We are looking for an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to join our world class engineering team. You will be working on projects in the Healthcare sectors that shape the worlds technological advancements in Mechatronics Design.

About us

We are a product design consultancy that specialises in deep tech. Clients come to us to develop world first solutions and products that cannot be easily copied by me-too imitators. We serve a wide range of industries, including green energy, consumer goods, communications, healthcare and wellbeing, agriculture and food and beverages, with offices and clients around the world.

As part of our talented mechatronics team, you’ll design ground-breaking mechanical equipment that improves lives worldwide. Your work will shape the future of healthcare and advance your own expertise through hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.

The Role

Most of your time will be focused on delivering the best Mechatronic hardware design possible for our multi-national medical technology clients, understanding their requirements and communicating clearly and effectively. You’ll be hands on in solving tough mechanical challenges, often alongside other disciplines, and in supportive project teams. You’d be working on projects across a range of healthcare sectors including Lifesciences, Diagnostics, Bioinnovation, Drug Delivery and Surgical. The technical challenges we work on are often ground-breaking and seriously change the landscape of Heathcare. We’d love you to be a part of that.

Our work varies greatly for our clients, but it’s likely you’ll be leading work such as first-principle engineering analyses, hands on testing and experimentation, detailed machine design and implementation, and liaising with suppliers. Your experience in these areas means you’ll be able to design systems and parts for manufacture with real world knowledge. You’ll be leading Mechatronics developments and defining technical solutions. And helping mentor and develop junior engineers within your field of expertise.

Our culture encourages team members to develop their responsibility that suits them and you’ll have the opportunity to significantly develop your skills and career, learn from others and make substantial impact on our projects.

We have a lot of content on our projects on our website, some relevant examples can be found here:

  • Breakthrough innovation for smaller, more capable surgical robotics
  • Next generation autoinjectors
  • Omniscia: superhuman surgery in real time

What can you bring?

You will bring an impressive Mechatronics ability and enthusiasm to the role. You’ll have industry experience and apply that to the role to make fantastic impact.

Our ideal requirements are:

  • An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related subject, such as Biomedical, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics etc) or equivalent experience
  • Mechatronics and/or Machine design industry experience.
  • Highly proficient in CAD, design analysis, structural analysis, rapid prototyping, technical drawings, design for manufacture, design for assembly.
  • Specific experience in hardware design for moving machinery, ideally in a robotics context.

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise machine learning jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach ML, MLOps and deep learning engineering talent. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: roles, salaries and the MLOps, LLM and generative AI hiring trends shaping UK ML careers over the next three years. Machine learning has undergone a transformation that few technology disciplines can match. In the space of three years it has moved from a specialism sitting at the edges of most organisations' technology strategies to a capability that sits at the centre of them. The tools have changed, the expectations have shifted, and the range of industries treating machine learning as a core business function — rather than an experimental one — has expanded dramatically. For job seekers, this creates both opportunity and complexity in roughly equal measure. The machine learning jobs market of 2026 is significantly larger than it was three years ago, but it is also significantly more demanding. Employers have developed more sophisticated expectations, the technical bar for specialist roles has risen, and the landscape of tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns that practitioners are expected to know has broadened considerably. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the discipline is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping what machine learning engineers and researchers are expected to build, and how the definition of a machine learning career is evolving beyond the model-building core toward a much wider range of roles across the full ML lifecycle. This article breaks down what the UK machine learning jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.
