We are currently recruiting Maths Graduates for Graduate Teaching Assistant opportunities within supportive and high-performing secondary schools acrossSutton and the widerSouth West London area. These long-term roles provide an excellent platform to build practical experience working with young people while developing a deeper understanding of learning, mathematical thinking, and classroom practice.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full academic potential. Schools are particularly keen to engage Maths Graduates due to their strong subject knowledge, logical reasoning skills, and ability to support problem-solving and numeracy development.

The Role

  • Full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant position
  • Based in well-established secondary schools acrossSutton
  • Supporting students across Key Stages 3-5
  • Providing 1:1 support and small group interventions
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Supporting students with additional learning needs (SEND) where required
  • September 2026 start

The Ideal Candidate

  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine interest in education, learning, and supporting young people
  • Ability to build positive and consistent relationships with students
  • Proactive, reliable, and professional approach to supporting learning
