Main Responsibilities as Lead Pricing Analyst:
- Take full ownership of end-to-end pricing activity, from deep-dive analysis through to live rate deployment across our Non-Standard Motor products.
- Lead and develop a talented team, creating a culture of curiosity, growth and high performance.
- Use advanced modelling and data science techniques to unlock new opportunities within specialist Car, Van and Bike segments.
- Shape how we compete by blending market insight, performance data and commercial judgement.
- Partner with senior leaders to challenge thinking and guide direction.
- Play a key role in evolving our pricing capability, tools and approach.
Skills and experience you need as Lead Pricing Analyst:
- A background in insurance pricing or a similar analytical field (motor experience is highly valued).
- Strong programming skills (SAS, R, Python or similar).
- Experience with predictive modelling techniques (GLMs, GBMs, machine learning methods etc.).
- Confidence working with tools like Emblem and Radar.
- A natural ability to connect insight with business impact.
- Experience leading or mentoring others, with a passion for developing talent.
- Strong communication skills - you can make complex ideas simple and compelling.
- The drive to take ownership, deliver results and push things forward.
