Introduction

Are you a curious and creatively minded graduate product design engineer looking for exciting and fulfilling experiences? Do you have creative flare and a passion for design for manufacture and assembly? Would you like to contribute to a wide selection of products for clients in the Industrial, Consumer, Energy and Defence industries?

You may be a graduate, or a candidate with a couple of years of industry experience. You can expect this role to include a mixture of desk-based and practical tasks.

Successful candidates can join us between May – October 2026.

There is no deadline for this role, as we recruit on a rolling basis. We encourage you to submit your application, including a copy of your portfolio, as soon as possible.

Your role

The Realisation group is responsible for dynamic hardware development of products, in both high and low volume markets following the guiding principles of Design for “X” (DfX) with particular emphasis on design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA). The group operates from product conception and design all the way through to manufacture and product launch, often bridging the gap between novel technology and high volume manufacture. Our work spans a range of industry sectors, such as consumer electronic products, energy sensors and metering, sustainability and agricultural systems.

The Realisation group is home to some of the most talented and passionate design engineers in the UK, who bring together their collective knowledge and skills to deliver elegant technical solutions. Our projects often involve the development of novel manufacturing techniques and complex supply chain management.

Some examples of some of our more recent exciting and challenging projects we have worked on include:

UK G’ment: An emergency ventilator for COVID-19 patients, approved by the MHRA and with supply chain secured:

Accesso Technology Group: Award-winning smart wearable for theme park guests:

Vinfusion: An app lead personalised wine blending and dispensing device with a touch of theatre:

What you’ll be doing

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate design engineer with the ambition and ability to achieve excellent results within highly demanding industries under tough commercial and time constraints. You will be using your design skills to contribute to product development projects with support and guidance from senior product engineers; from initial idea generation through to the delivery and manufacturing support for market ready products. This may include:

  • Liaising directly with clients to understanding their needs and present designs
  • Taking part in concept generation and problem-solving workshops
  • Preparation of detailed designs in CAD, from system to component level, using design for “X” (DfX) e.g. manufacture, cost, assembly etc best practices
  • Contributing to the development of manufacturing solutions
  • Manufacturing of parts and assemblies, hands-on or by liaising with suppliers
  • Testing of designs to ensure they meet the client’s and end customers’ needs

What you can bring

  • A successful Graduate Product Design Engineer in the Mechanics and Design Department will have the ability to:
  • Communicate with peers and clients to understand their problems and present solutions
  • Design elegant solutions to clients’ problems using DfX best practices
  • Propose high-performance manufacturing solutions
  • Obtain and analyse empirical test data to gain insights into design or process performance
  • Demonstrate an excellent academic record, studying for or having completed a relevant engineering degree

We welcome applications from recent graduates with industrial experience, final year students and graduates with rel

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise machine learning jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach ML, MLOps and deep learning engineering talent. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: roles, salaries and the MLOps, LLM and generative AI hiring trends shaping UK ML careers over the next three years. Machine learning has undergone a transformation that few technology disciplines can match. In the space of three years it has moved from a specialism sitting at the edges of most organisations' technology strategies to a capability that sits at the centre of them. The tools have changed, the expectations have shifted, and the range of industries treating machine learning as a core business function — rather than an experimental one — has expanded dramatically. For job seekers, this creates both opportunity and complexity in roughly equal measure. The machine learning jobs market of 2026 is significantly larger than it was three years ago, but it is also significantly more demanding. Employers have developed more sophisticated expectations, the technical bar for specialist roles has risen, and the landscape of tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns that practitioners are expected to know has broadened considerably. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the discipline is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping what machine learning engineers and researchers are expected to build, and how the definition of a machine learning career is evolving beyond the model-building core toward a much wider range of roles across the full ML lifecycle. This article breaks down what the UK machine learning jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.
