The Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this is an opportunity for a motivated Financial Accountant to support consolidation, financial reporting, and intercompany processes across multiple international legal entities.

The role will involve supporting period-end processes, preparing and reviewing consolidation data, and working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information. The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the consolidation of international entities into HQ’s ERP, including ensuring alignment with group reporting standards and supporting continuous improvement in reporting and control processes.

Requirements

  • Supporting the preparation and review of trial balances, journals and period end packages for international entities prior to and during the consolidation process
  • Supporting the consolidation of period-end reporting packages for international entities into HQ’s ERP system, including capital expenditure reporting
  • Preparing and posting journals to transition from local GAAP to IFRS
  • Ensuring consistency and standardisation of reporting across entities
  • Coordinating and reviewing bank reconciliations for international entities, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Working with external accounting providers and internal finance teams to resolve issues, including proactively sharing processed invoices with comments ahead of reporting cycles, and ensuring timely and accurate submission of reporting packages
  • Supporting intercompany processes, including coordinating recharge mechanisms between subsidiaries and HQ
  • Managing local invoicing processes, including issuing intercompany invoices from the Dev Center to HQ and processing received supplier invoices, ensuring proper review, coding, and timely recording
  • Performing FX revaluations and ensuring appropriate accounting treatment
  • Coordinating balance sheet reviews and approval workflows within reconciliation tools (Oracle Fusion)
  • Supporting the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules in line with group requirements
  • Supporting monthly, half-year, and year-end close processes in line with group policies
  • Supporting audit processes, including preparing documentation and responding to audit queries
  • Ensuring financial data is accurate and aligned with reporting and consolidation requirements
  • Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of financial controls and reporting processes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve, standardise, and automate consolidation and reporting processes
  • Supporting the implementation of new processes, systems, or business initiatives
  • Working in line with defined reporting timelines and deadlines

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant financial qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or European equivalent) and understanding of relevant regulatory environments
  • Strong English communication and written skills
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems
  • Experience with external auditors (good to have) and third party external advisors
  • Understanding of core financial processes and relevant systems
  • Understanding of accounting, tax and reporting standards & principles,
  • Experience in a fast-paced global environment (preferable)
  • Experience in delivering great customer / user experience (preferable)
  • Experience in process improvement, automation
