Who are we?

Our mission is to scale intelligence to serve humanity. We’re training and deploying frontier models for developers and enterprises who are building AI systems to power magical experiences like content generation, semantic search, RAG, and agents. We believe that our work is instrumental to the widespread adoption of AI.

We obsess over what we build. Each one of us is responsible for contributing to increasing the capabilities of our models and the value they drive for our customers. We like to work hard and move fast to do what’s best for our customers.

Cohere is a team of researchers, engineers, designers, and more, who are passionate about their craft. Each person is one of the best in the world at what they do. We believe that a diverse range of perspectives is a requirement for building great products.

Join us on our mission and shape the future!

About North:

North is Cohere's cutting-edge AI workspace platform, designed to revolutionise how enterprises use AI. It offers a secure, customisable environment that enables companies to deploy AI while maintaining control over sensitive data. North integrates seamlessly with existing workflows, providing a trusted platform that connects AI agents with workplace tools and applications.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

  • Design, build, ship and maintain scalable features for North, our AI workspace platform.

  • Take end-to-end ownership of features — from initial design and planning, through implementation, testing, and delivery.

  • Apply your expertise to deliver at speed, making practical technical decisions that balance velocity with depth and quality.

  • Collaborate closely across teams, maintaining high standards for communication, documentation, and testing.

  • Contribute across the stack—from front-end UI to back-end infrastructure—to develop new features, fix bugs, and optimise performance.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have experience managing engineering teams and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software.

  • Have built, shipped & maintained production-ready applications.

  • Have strong coding abilities and are comfortable working across the stack.

  • Take a customer-focused, product-minded approach to building software, prioritising outcomes and impact.

  • Thrive in fast-paced environments and can stay focused as priorities and objectives evolve.

Our tech stack:

Our stack includes Python, TypeScript with React, Postgres, and is deployed on Kubernetes. We value strong fundamentals and a learning mindset over specific tech experience — if you’re excited about AI and love building fast, you’ll fit right in!

If some of the above doesn’t line up perfectly with your experience, we still encourage you to apply!

We value and celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive work environment for all. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to providing equal opportunities. Should you require any accommodations during the recruitment process, please submit an Accommodations Request Form, and we will work together to meet your needs.

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise machine learning jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach ML, MLOps and deep learning engineering talent. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
