Construction Data Analyst – BOUYGUES UK

We’re looking for a multifaceted Data Analyst to join our dynamic data team. This is not a typical reporting role — we’re seeking a hybrid data professional who can blend advanced analytics, business intelligence development, and critical thinking, with a strong passion for data literacy, community‑building across the organisation, and an eye for design and user experience that enhances the accessibility and effectiveness of our data tools. You’ll be directly reporting to the Chief Data Officer and will be instrumental in shaping how data is accessed, understood, and used—from developing dashboards in Power BI, to establishing data governance best practices, to nurturing a company‑wide data culture.

What You Bring

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (PL‑300 Level Minimum – certification not required but welcomed)
  • Experience working within the Microsoft 365 (MS/O365) ecosystem is highly desirable
  • Good SQL knowledge and data modelling techniques
  • Experience in data quality management, data visualisation, and dashboard design/UX optimisation; candidates are expected to present their portfolio of dashboards created, showcasing their ability to visualise data and extract meaningful insights, including how their dashboards have driven decision‑making and improved business processes
  • Familiarity in Snowflake is a plus
  • Strong communication skills – able to explain complex data concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Ability to clearly document and present not only analytical findings but also the underlying processes and methodologies, ensuring transparency and reproducibility
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams, understanding business needs and aligning data solutions accordingly
  • A comprehensive understanding of construction data and topics is essential
  • Natural community‑builder – thrives on mentoring, sharing knowledge, and fostering innovation
  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field

Data Architecture & Process Optimisation

  • Define and refine, in coordination with the Data Engineer, semantic data models, workflows, and governance practices
  • Establish and promote data quality and operational excellence through best practices and process improvements

Data Community & Literacy Development

  • Help grow an internal data community to foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing
  • Champion data literacy initiatives, training stakeholders on effective data usage and storytelling

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver real business impact
  • Integrate and manage diverse data sources, ensuring high standards of data quality, consistency, and scalability
  • Oversee the implementation of BI initiatives to support data‑informed decision‑making across departments

What You Will Be Doing

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into clear brief
  • Working with Business Sponsors and Data Owners to define, interpret, and simplify complex data requirements, ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives
  • Designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards in Power BI to visualise business metrics and trends
  • Extracting, transforming, and loading data from Snowflake into Power BI for analysis and reporting
  • Creating strong and lean data models to ensure efficient data processing and optimal performance of Power BI dashboards, while supporting scalability and ease of maintenance
  • Using DAX to create calculated measures and columns within Power BI dashboards, enabling advanced analytics and dynamic reporting, including time‑intelligence functions, complex aggregations, and custom KPIs to provide deeper insights into business performance
  • Leveraging Power BI features to allow for the creation of interactive visuals that respond to user input and facilitate more meaningful data exploration
  • Writing and optimising SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data within Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency
  • Conducting data quality checks and liaising with the business to troubleshoot data inconsistencies
  • Presenting findings and dashboard solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences, supporting data‑driven decision‑making

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising machine learning jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Machine Learning Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Machine learning has undergone a transformation that few technology disciplines can match. In the space of three years it has moved from a specialism sitting at the edges of most organisations' technology strategies to a capability that sits at the centre of them. The tools have changed, the expectations have shifted, and the range of industries treating machine learning as a core business function — rather than an experimental one — has expanded dramatically. For job seekers, this creates both opportunity and complexity in roughly equal measure. The machine learning jobs market of 2026 is significantly larger than it was three years ago, but it is also significantly more demanding. Employers have developed more sophisticated expectations, the technical bar for specialist roles has risen, and the landscape of tools, frameworks, and architectural patterns that practitioners are expected to know has broadened considerably. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the discipline is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping what machine learning engineers and researchers are expected to build, and how the definition of a machine learning career is evolving beyond the model-building core toward a much wider range of roles across the full ML lifecycle. This article breaks down what the UK machine learning jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.

This article highlights the new and high‑growth machine learning employers to watch in 2026, focusing on UK innovators, international firms with significant UK presence, and global platforms investing in machine learning talent locally.
