About The Role

The BI service’s mission is to use the Council’s data in collaborative and imaginative ways so that insight and intelligence is at the heart of how the Council operates and improves services to residents.

This role is part of the BI Analyst Academy, focusing on delivering a wide variety of analytical products across the Council, from statutory returns to interactive dashboards. On a six‑month basis, the analyst will work on specific workstreams covering key services and departments within the organisation, including Children Services, Adult Social Care, Public Health, Corporate – Finance/Workforce, and Housing. The analyst will carry out a wide range of analysis within each workstream, producing analytical reports, supporting statutory returns, generating dashboards, and conducting geographical analysis.

BI Analyst Academy

The Academy is an exciting new development from the BI Service that aims to develop the next generation of BI analysts. Members will work within a specific area for 6 months before moving onto another area within the BI Service. A development programme is designed to help each member develop their analytical skills and deepen their understanding of the role of analysis in local government. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to advance their career in analysis.
