Benefits

Flexible and remote working Paid travel to Bristol office once a month Occasional paid London meetings
Turning data into decisions the business can act on.
  • Wide exposure across analytics, Machine Learning and systems application.
  • Business-led data science with commercial impact rather than academic research.
  • Remote role with monthly Bristol trips.

Working with Python, Microsoft Fabric and SQL to shape projects and support the business.

What you’ll be doing
The Applied Data Scientist role focuses on delivering practical data science and analytics across a large operational environment. You will own projects end to end, from problem definition through to deployment and stakeholder communication. You’ll sit close to the business, working on commercially important problems and translating insight into action. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys applied analytics, systems and real-world impact, with a data science application and background!

As an Applied Data Scientist, you will analyse data, build models and deliver insight that supports better business decisions. You’ll work on various projects that include forecasting, classification, optimisation or performance analysis and more.

You will collaborate with engineers to ensure solutions are scalable and reliable, engage regularly with stakeholders, presenting findings clearly and helping teams understand the commercial impact of the work. Sound like you? Apply now!

What experience you’ll need to apply
  • A Computer Science, Data Science or similar degree (2:1 or above)
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in a data science or ML role
  • Strong Python experience in production settings
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience working with SQL and structured datasets
  • Exposure to ML and LLM driven solutions
  • A clear, business focused communication style
  • Ability to translate data science projects into commercial outcomes and apply to a business context

What you’ll get in return for your experience
A salary of up to £55,000, depending on experience. The role is flexible and remote working, with required travel to the Bristol office once a month and occasional (but less common) London meetings (which would be paid for). You will work on high impact projects with modern tools, clear ownership and visible results.

Where to Advertise Machine Learning Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise machine learning jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and communities that reach ML, MLOps and deep learning engineering talent. The candidate pool is small, highly specialised and in demand across AI labs, financial services, healthcare, autonomous systems and consumer technology simultaneously. Machine learning engineers and researchers move between roles through professional networks, conference communities and specialist platforms — not general job boards where ML roles compete with unrelated software engineering positions for the same audience. This guide, published by MachineLearningJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise machine learning roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
