Data plays an increasingly important part of our business and as a result of continued growth and further investment within our D&A department, we now have an excellent opportunity for a Lead Data Analyst to join our team. The firm uses an SQL-based case management system to manage the recovery of bulk debts and as the basis of internal and external reporting.

This role will cover the full spectrum of internal and external data management, performance analytics and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholder to optimise operational strategies and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to maximise client return of investment.

We are looking for a hands-on individual who is a natural problem solver with advanced analytical skills, experience of leading or mentoring junior team members and working alongside senior operational leaders to drive performance and improve operational efficiencies.

Reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics the desired candidate will be keen to join a fast-paced and friendly team to help shape the departments future within the Flint Bishop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, develop and maintain client reports using languages such as SQL, Python and R
  • Develop internal MI suites and reports to enable Operational Team Leaders manage inbound & outbound workloads and measure performance driven KPI metrics
  • Manage stakeholders across the firm, prioritising firm-wide requests based on D&A workloads and resources through our service desk tool
  • Liaise with operational leaders, leading projects end to end to help improve Operational efficiency & performance
  • Lead and support a small team of Analysts

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

You will:

  • 5+ Years’ experience in a previous analytical role
  • Be proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel
  • Have great interpersonal skills and be able to communicate your ideas to a wider audience
  • Be a good problem solver
  • Have strong time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Help lead junior analysts and prioritise teams workload as well as your own, based on business and client needs

Desirable:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a numeric subject (Mathematics, Statistics, etc.) or equivalent
  • Experience working within credit risk/debt recovery industry
  • Working knowledge of Python and/or R
  • Experience using data visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Experience with legal systems such as Liberate
