We are currently searching for aData Business Analyst / Data Analytics / Business Data Analystto join a growing Enterprise Data team on a permanent basis. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-value projects across the business, working closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

The Opportunity

As a Data Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across the business. Your responsibilities will span the full lifecycle of data projects, from gathering requirements to delivering insight. You’ll work cross-functionally with stakeholders to ensure the solutions delivered are aligned with business goals and customer value.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and define analytical requirements
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and vice versa
  • Perform detailed analysis of datasets to assess structure, quality and potential usage
  • Plan and deliver complex modelling and analysis activities
  • Maintain detailed documentation including business and technical specifications
  • Support the delivery of enterprise data products through requirements definition and technical guidance
  • Champion best practices across the data analysis function
  • Support data governance, data quality and broader data management activities


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering data analysis solutions in a commercial setting
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python (or equivalent)
  • Experience mapping business processes to underlying data structures
  • Confidence in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from gathering requirements to presenting insights
  • Ability to model and manipulate large datasets to uncover insights and answer key business questions
  • Solid experience with data visualisation, reporting and communicating analysis findings
  • Familiarity with core analytics and BI techniques in a high-volume, high-dimensional environment

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with data modelling methodologies (3NF, Data Vault)
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing principles
  • Power BI knowledge
  • Awareness of data governance and data management best practices
