About Our Client

Our client has been a leader in their field. BAsed in Bridgwtaer they are looking for a Business / Data Analyst

The Role

As a Business Analyst, you will provide data-driven insights into client profitability and operational efficiency. Your work will enable our client to optimise pricing, engineer utilisation, and service delivery across a geographically distributed client base. This role will entail a small team to manage so we are looking for someone with some experience with managing at least 1 person ideally

Key Responsibilities

Client Profitability Analysis

Develop and maintain models to assess the profitability of individual clients.
Factor in variables such as travel time, service time, engineer productivity, site accessibility, and upsell potential.
Ensure the billing team accurately and promptly invoices for jobs.Operational Efficiency

Analyse engineer schedules, job completion data, and PDA-collected field data to identify inefficiencies.
Recommend improvements in route planning, labour allocation, and service density.Pricing Strategy Support

Provide insights and data to support pricing decisions based on cost-to-serve analysis.
Help identify under performing contracts and suggest renegotiation ideas, strategies to drive efficiency, or exit strategies.Data Integration and Reporting

Work with data from multiple sources (PDA systems, CRM, finance, ERP, scheduling tools).
Build dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders.Stakeholder Collaboration

Liaise with operations, finance, and sales teams to align analysis with business goals.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Key Competencies

Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a field service, logistics, or engineering environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar).
Experience working with mobile workforce data or job tracking systems.
Understanding of cost modelling, pricing strategy, and service delivery metrics.
Commercially aware and numerically fluent.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Desirable

Experience in SME or fast-paced operational environments, with a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement.
Familiarity with field service management software or PDA-based job tracking.
Knowledge of fire safety or compliance-driven industries.Benefits and Hours
