This is the job

At AA-X, we are on a mission to re-invent car ownership and usage. We create connected car ventures using data and AI to provide insights and solutions that give drivers control, confidence, and joy in their motoring lives.

As part of the UK’s largest and most trusted driving company, we develop and test human-centric products and services quickly, giving AA members first access to everything we build. We recently launched Vixa, where automotive meets wellness!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-driven conversion rate optimisation specialist who is passionate about driving significant growth. You’ll run experiments to optimise onboarding journeys and work with various stakeholders (product, design, engineering, and marketing).

What will I be doing?

  • Own the conversion rate optimisation strategy for Vixa's website and app, focusing on subscriptions, cross-sells, and up-sells to boost subscriber volume and ARPU.
  • Develop and manage the conversion rate optimisation roadmap, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and key stakeholders, including design, product, and engineering.
  • Deliver impactful A/B tests, multivariate tests (MVT), and other experimentation methodologies from ideation to completion, including hypothesis creation, implementation, measurement, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with our brand, acquisition, and creative teams to create and optimise sales funnels and landing pages by traffic source.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of user behaviour, funnel performance, and customer segmentation using tools like Google Analytics, Post Hog, and Bloomreach to generate actionable insights.
  • Stay up-to-date on competitor activity and industry trends to inform the experimentation roadmap.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly website and app reporting in collaboration with a marketing data analyst, ensuring stakeholders are clear on success measures and performance.

What do I need?

  • Experience in conversion rate optimisation in a fast-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical and commercial background with the ability to analyse large amounts of data and identify patterns and insights.
  • Proven track record of improving sign-up conversion rates within a mobile-first setting.
  • Able to generate ideas for CRO activity with a data-led approach.
  • Experience running A/B and multivariate tests, working with data teams (data scientists, data analysts).
  • Experience with Google Analytics is essential; PostHog is an advantage.
  • Experience with subscription-based businesses is an advantage.
  • Experience working with compliance and legal teams is desirable.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to multi-task and collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver.
  • Excellent communicator, able to translate complex data into clear and actionable reports.

Additional Information

We’re always looking to recognise and reward our employees for the work they do. As a valued member of The AA team, you’ll have access to a range of benefits including:

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays + holiday buying scheme
  • Worksave pension scheme with up to 7% employer contribution
  • Free AA breakdown membership from Day 1 plus 50% discount for family and friends
  • Discounts on AA products including car and home insurance
  • Employee discount scheme that gives you access to a car salary sacrifice scheme plus great discounts on healthcare, shopping, holidays and more
  • Company funded life assurance
  • Diverse learning and development opportunities to support you to progress in your career
  • Dedicated Employee Assistance Programme and a 24/7 remote GP service for you and your family
