Title and Summary Vice President, Global Digital Marketing (AI and Data) Reports to SVP Global Digital Marketing and MarTech The mission of the Global Digital Marketing team is to empower marketing teams around the world with cutting-edge digital marketing solutions and strategic innovation. We provide leading MarTech, create innovative digital platforms, offer activation services, and consult on forward-thinking strategies and ideas. The role of VP, Global Digital Marketing (AI and Data) is to lead strategy and innovation for AI and Data related marketing initiatives. They are to identify unique opportunities and lead a cross functional team to build, and scale, AI and Data solutions that 1) drive efficiencies/ productivity for our marketers, and 2) elevate the customer (B2B) and consumer (B2C) experience across marketing initiatives. This position will provide leadership on marketing data strategy, application, tools, technology and adoption, to improve marketing initiatives and marketing performance globally, and inform relevant business decisions. The role requires collaboration and confidence in communicating at a senior level with many groups across Mastercard. These groups span from legal, compliance, privacy, Global Data & AI, engineering, product, finance, data, to local market teams, as well as all the marketing and communication functions i.e brand, research, comms, sponsorships, B2B Marketing, etc. Key responsibilities: • Determine the most effective application of AI to improve internal marketing operational efficiency, as well as B2B and B2C marketing experiences • Analyse opportunities to maximise the usage and application of Mastercard data for marketing purposes • Identify new and relevant AI-powered MarTech that can transform digital experiences and improve our tech stack. • Be ahead of the curve with trends, insights, and law in the space • Partner with the Data & AI team and AI Council to leverage partnerships and align on guiding principles and processes for responsible AI, etc. • Develop effective storytelling of new concepts to gain support and funding • Provide clarity and technical details of concepts to gain legal, privacy and compliance approvals, as well as the AI team and AI governance council • Lead a cross-functional team to execute test and learn pilots • Develop business cases to secure resources where necessary • Develop go-to-market strategies and plans for scaling solutions • Educate and inspire Marketing Org and beyond with thought leadership, webinars, learning sessions on AI related to Marketing practices Ideal candidate: • Has significant hands-on experience in building AI, ML and Data solutions for Marketing specific application • Deep understanding of AI ethics and best practices for sustainable AI development • Experienced in Digital Protection Impact Assessments and their application to AI Agents and MarTech tools • Strong experience in developing GPTs from Gen AI base LLMs • Strong experience in GPT tools and the RAG process • Strong experience with NLP processes and procedures, in particular Neural networks, tokenisation, supervised and unsupervised learning libraries and tools • Experience and training in AI data taxonomy development and Machine Learning algorithms • Proficiency in programming languages • Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud computing platforms is advantageous • Proven success in marketing roles at agency or for a global brand • Exceptional storyteller – brings ideas to life visually and verbally • Measured risk taker, passionate change-maker • Collaborative by nature • Holistic thinker who uses extensive research, experience, industry knowledge to unearth actionable opportunities to formulate and present strategies • Effective people leader with extensive experience in managing teams • Certification and accreditation in AI from reputable institution Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must: Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices; Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed; Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
