Responsibilities:

  • Participate and assist more senior architects in the design, development, and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements.
  • Contribute to the determination of technical and operational feasibility of solutions.
  • Develop prototypes of the system design and work with database, operations, technical support, and other IT areas as appropriate throughout development and implementation processes.
  • Serve as a technical resource and provide tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor.
  • Design, develop, and deploy solutions to build scalable backend systems using Python, Java, Linux and SQL.
  • Utilize full stack engineering, shell scripting, coding, debugging and agile methodologies.
  • Design and develop production ready software using web, cloud and distributed technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices and APIs.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve software bugs, vulnerabilities, and deployment issues.
  • Design and develop new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with Spark, MongoDB and Redis.
  • Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related; and
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation.
  • Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Designing, developing, and deploying solutions to build scalable backend systems using Python, Java, Linux and SQL;
  • Utilizing full stack engineering, shell scripting, coding, debugging and agile methodologies;
  • Designing and developing production ready software using web, cloud and distributed technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Microservices and APIs;
  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving software bugs, vulnerabilities, and deployment issues; and,
  • Designing and developing new proof of concept projects to enhance current software systems to handle increased traffic and larger datasets with Spark, MongoDB and Redis.
