As a Tech Strategist for the Utilities sector, you will support client relationships and work with the account team and key stakeholders to translate industry business goals into technology outcomes through the Microsoft platform. This role focuses on shaping technology strategy and driving innovation within the Energy & Utilities sector by leveraging Azure-based cloud solutions, advanced analytics, IoT applications, and the integration of AI, SaaS, and security measures.

You will guide clients in making future-proof decisions, addressing their key challenges with a business-oriented perspective. Your work will involve collaborating with senior executives, including C-level leaders in utilities such as National Grid, IDF, and National Gas, to communicate the value of these technologies and contribute to thought leadership that positions Avanade as a top Microsoft partner in the sector.

To excel in the Tech Strategist role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies. Your experience will encompass driving innovation, leading solution delivery, and engaging with clients at all levels. You will use your knowledge to shape strategies that address complex challenges and create sustainable value for clients.

Shape the technology strategy for Energy & Utilities Practice, aligning Microsoft technologies with industry trends and client needs. Lead the design and delivery of Microsoft Azure-based solutions for cloud computing, advanced analytics, and IoT applications to enhance grid management, asset monitoring, and predictive maintenance. Drive the adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to transform client operations in areas such as customer engagement, field service, and finance. Champion the use of Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to create data-driven insights, low-code applications, and automated workflows for operational efficiency. Collaborate with Avanade's cybersecurity experts to implement robust security measures using Microsoft security tools, ensuring the protection of critical energy infrastructure. Work closely with the Avanade CTO and practice leaders to ensure seamless integration of Microsoft technologies across Avanade's service offerings. Foster a culture of innovation within the practice, encouraging teams to explore emerging Microsoft technologies like AI, machine learning, and digital twins for energy optimization. Leverage Avanade's strategic partnership with Microsoft to influence product roadmaps and gain early access to technologies relevant to the energy sector. Engage with clients at the executive level to articulate the value of Microsoft technologies in addressing their business challenges. Contribute to thought leadership, speaking engagements, and industry events to position Avanade UK & I as the premier Microsoft partner for the energy and utilities sector.

You have a deep understanding of the Microsoft stack and are a technology visionary with a business perspective. While Utilities experience is not required, the ability to learn and adapt quickly to this industry is essential. You will work alongside Sales professionals with experience and knowledge on the sector and will complement their work with technical expertise and business approach.
