As partof our AI team, you will be working with our National SecurityCustomers to understand their business challenges and identitywhere AI/ML-based solutions can add value. You will lead onprototype development and be responsible for designing,implementing, and deploying AI solutions. This cross-functionalrole requires a strong foundation in software engineering,statistics, and AI/ML concepts. Due to the fast-paced change inAI/ML, you are expected to be aware of the latest advancements inAI and ML technologies, ensuring that solutions are both innovativeand effective. You will workclosely with data scientists to understand data requirements, cleanand organize data, and build efficient, scalable capabilities. Ourunique customers have interesting, complex data. You will conductpractical AI experiments to test technical assumptions and assesstechnology maturity to meet user needs. As an engineering expert inAI/ML you'll be expected to develop, test and validate applicationsusing machine learning models, demonstrating how they can maturefrom prototype to product. You will provide support to other earlyadopter engineering teams attempting to develop and integrate theirown machine learning solutions. Not only will you be directly making a hugeimpact through the solutions you develop, you'll be doing it for anorganisation who makes a huge impact to the security of the UK.About you You will have experience in many of the following:Prototyping applications using machine learning (ML) models to testfeasibility and impact. Engineering and implementing ML-basedsolutions, with proven ability to own the end-to-end process andlifecycle of ML systems. Deploying models and handling technicalaspects of making models operational to meet user needs.Integrating models within applications, and incorporating them intowider systems. Monitoring model performance through regularevaluation of deployed models, identifying performance gaps andopportunities for optimisation. Researching techniques bycontinuously exploring the latest ML and AI advancements toidentify methods that can enhance current systems. Adhering topolicy and ethical AI standards, ensuring machine learningpractices comply with compliance processes and guidelines.Providing technical guidance in the implementation and integrationof machine learning to other cross-functional teams. Programming inone or more of Python, Java, .Net, JavaScript, C++. Using MLOpstools and frameworks. Source controlling your code with VersionControl Systems, for example Git, Mercurial, Perforce. Utilisingcontainerisation technologies e.g. Docker, Kubernetes. It would begreat if you also had experience in some of these, but if not we'llhelp you with them Optimising models from data scientists byworking closely with them to refine, optimise, and implement modelsbased on prototypes. Defining and improving MLOps processes bycreating and refining the model development and deployment strategyfor better efficiency and results. Ensuring the quality andaccessibility of data used for machine learning projects isappropriate, collaborating with data engineers as necessary.Performing data analysis to enable machine learning engineeringtasks, such as ethics/bias assessments or exploratory data analysisto inform model development/deployment pattern choice. Maintainingcomprehensive documentation of model development, includingmethodologies, performance evaluations, and deployment details.Developing and running solutions Cloud-based environments &Cloud ML Services e.g. AWS, MS Azure. Integrating with relational,document, search and graph database systems. Utilising CI/CD tools,such as Bamboo, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bitbucket, in order tostreamline delivery of new features and fixes.
