We are seeking aRegional Commercial Managerbased in the UK or Italy to drive ourcommercial growth in North America. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned tourism industry professional with a deep understanding of technology's transformative role and experience navigating procurement processes in the public sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial Strategy & Development:Develop and execute commercial strategies in the region, positioning DAI Destinations and DAI Coach to align with regional needs.
  • Industry Thought Leadership:Represent The Data Appeal Co. as a thought leader at industry events and speaking engagements, sharing insights on data-driven innovation in tourism.
  • Pipeline Management:Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, fostering new client relationships and expanding business with existing accounts. This requires the ability to build strong relationships with public stakeholders.
  • Procurement & Public Sector Engagement:Experience with public tenders and procurement processes within government organizations and public sectors, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Client Engagement:Act as the main point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs and demonstrating the value of our products in addressing industry challenges.
  • Collaboration & Innovation:Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Data teams to develop tailored solutions and articulate the benefits of DAI Destinations and DAI Coach effectively.
  • Data-Driven Analysis:Leverage data insights to inform sales strategies, track performance, and refine client solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Tourism Industry Expertise:4+ years in the tourism sector, experience in the public sector (e.g., tourism boards) or corporate tourism (hotel chains), and an established industry network.
  • Procurement Process Experience:Strong expertise in managing procurement and sales processes within government organizations and the public sector, with a thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Technology & Innovation Enthusiasm:Deep interest in how technology transforms tourism, with a track record of integrating innovative solutions into client proposals.
  • Analytical & Insightful:Skilled at translating data into actionable insights, providing meaningful recommendations and clear communication.
  • Public Speaking & Advocacy:Comfortable representing the company at industry events, panels, and conferences.
  • Languages:Fluency in English; Italian is preferred for communications with HQ, with additional European languages (Spanish, Portuguese, French) are a plus depending on region.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit:Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a drive for continuous growth.
