Role Overview

Ipsotek is seeking a Technical Trainer with strong expertise in video analytics and Vision AI/computer vision technologies (such as facial and license plate recognition). This role is pivotal in delivering high‑quality training to both end‑users and experienced System Integrators (SIs) on our existing and upcoming products. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with excellent communication skills and a passion for knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery

  • Design training on Ipsotek's Vision AI/computer vision products, including advanced video analytics solutions
  • Deliver in‑depth technical training sessions for customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Adapt training content for different audiences (end‑users vs. technical SIs)

Travel

  • Travel globally (Middle East, Europe, Americas, and potentially ANZ) for training engagements, typically up to two weeks at a time

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Act as a key interface with the Operations team to ensure smooth deployment and adoption of products
  • Work closely with the Development team to keep product documentation accurate and up to date
  • Maintain and optimise content on the Learning Management System (LMS) for scalability and consistency
  • Develop new training content and supporting material to enhance learner journeys

Continuous Improvement

  • Gather feedback from training sessions to improve course content and delivery.
  • Stay current with new product releases and emerging technologies in Vision AI and video analytics

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of surveillance‑based video analytics and AI‑driven software solutions, including facial and license plate recognition
  • Familiarity with system integration concepts and deployment in security or surveillance environments

Training & Communication

  • Proven experience in delivering technical training to diverse audiences
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non‑technical users

Tools & Systems

  • Experience with LMS platforms (knowledge of Docebo an advantage) and creating structured training modules
  • Proficiency in documentation and presentation tools

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50-70% of the time)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural adaptability for global engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in security systems, video surveillance, or AI‑based analytics
  • Experience working with System Integrators and enterprise‑level deployments
  • Certifications in training delivery or instructional design are a plus

How Many Machine Learning Tools Do You Need to Know to Get a Machine Learning Job?

Machine learning is one of the most exciting and rapidly growing areas of tech. But for job seekers it can also feel like a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms. One job advert wants TensorFlow and Keras. Another mentions PyTorch, scikit-learn and Spark. A third lists Mlflow, Docker, Kubernetes and more. With so many names out there, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking you must learn everything just to be competitive. Here’s the honest truth most machine learning hiring managers won’t say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every tool. They hire you because you can solve real problems with the tools you know. Tools are important — no doubt — but context, judgement and outcomes matter far more. So how many machine learning tools do you actually need to know to get a job? For most job seekers, the real number is far smaller than you think — and more logically grouped. This guide breaks down exactly what employers expect, which tools are core, which are role-specific, and how to structure your learning for real career results.

What Hiring Managers Look for First in Machine Learning Job Applications (UK Guide)

Whether you’re applying for machine learning engineer, applied scientist, research scientist, ML Ops or data scientist roles, hiring managers scan applications quickly — often making decisions before they’ve read beyond the top third of your CV. In the competitive UK market, it’s not enough to list skills. You must send clear signals of relevance, delivery, impact, reasoning and readiness for production — and do it within the first few lines of your CV or portfolio. This guide walks you through exactly what hiring managers look for first in machine learning applications, how they evaluate CVs and portfolios, and what you can do to improve your chances of getting shortlisted at every stage — from your CV and LinkedIn profile to your cover letter and project portfolio.
