About the Role: As a Senior Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of server systems (both physical and virtual) that underpin KX's internal and client systems across multiple global locations. These services are mission-critical, operating 24/7, and are essential for the ongoing operation of our customers' systems. You will be part of a small, highly skilled technical team, ensuring the stability and performance of production, UAT, and development environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, configuration, support, and maintenance of Linux services to meet SLA standards at KX data centres. Develop and improve processes/procedures to enhance system and service delivery. Work closely with technical teams and global support teams across various KX locations. Operate in an audited (SSAE18) environment, adhering to ITIL best practices. Manage problem reports and resolutions through ticket management systems. Provide out-of-hours on-call support on a rotational basis (1 week in 5). Work autonomously, managing tasks with little supervision. Requirements: At least 6 years of experience in Linux administration (preferably Red Hat Enterprise 7/8/9). Experience with Windows Server support and network support (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, switches). Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (Citrix Xen, VMware, Hyper-V). Cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud, IBM) is advantageous. Scripting experience (Python, Ruby, Unix Shell scripts). Working knowledge of load balancing technologies. Experience in administering EMC VNX SANs. Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware issues, particularly Dell EMC servers and storage Familiarity with Apache Tomcat configuration, kdb, Nagios Monitoring, containerisation technologies, VPNs, CI/CD tools, and Gitlab/SVN is beneficial. Application support and middleware experience (JBoss, VMware). Experience with enterprise Change Management processes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work well in a small technical team, spread across multiple locations. Customer-focused mindset with a solid understanding of process-driven service delivery. Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira is a plus. Location & Workplace Type This position takes on a hybrid working model, based in Dublin, Ireland.
