Our client has created a brand new position for a data analyst within the supply chain sector.

THE ROLE:

  • To analyse data to anticipate future needs and optimise costs and storage space. Develop inventory control models and parameters. Report to upper management on stock issues and performance. Work with category managers to forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and shortages. To identify changes in trend and implement the best solution. Analyse minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure the correct amount of finished products, raw materials and packaging are being held at the correct site at all times.

  • Liaise with category managers and the commercial team to ensure all possible upcoming changes in trend are identified and any necessary action is taken.

  • Help in the maintenance of minimum and maximum stock level calculations to ensure that the company does not run out of key products, while simultaneously ensuring that we do not hold too much stock.

  • Liaise with logistics to maintain a strong flow of information to maximise space.

  • Compiling of any data required by your line manager.

  • Extract data from D365, Power BI and any other available system to ensure inventory levels are correct and changes are proactively managed.

  • Communicate to all appropriate departments and levels of the business any issues or upcoming issues in a timely manner.

  • To be fully aware of company policies and procedures and to work within the guidelines as stated.

  • To be aware of and maintain Company Health and Safety rules at all times. Ensure that sub-ordinates have received the relevant health and safety training required for their role.

  • To actively support the formal Integrated Management System by ensuring all defined policies, processes and procedures and work instructions are accurately applied.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • You must have a full clean driving licence.

  • You will have extensive experience using D365 & PowerBI.

  • Have excellent analytical skills

  • Able to create & communicate trends across the business.

  • Have excellent experience in creating reports.

  • Be able to travel to assist in implementation of working practices.

  • Have excellent communication and IT Skills.
