About the Team: The Mobile Growth and Monetization team is anew team based in London responsible for powering Quizlet’s mobilegrowth. This is a broad charter and covers everything from ourglobal expansion to notifications and from account management toads and subscription management. The team works closely with therest of our mobile organization, backend services teams, and crossplatform product and marketing teams to enable more people in moreplaces to study on the Quizlet app. About the Role: We’re lookingfor a Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership for our MobileGrowth and Monetization team. You will work in and providetechnical leadership for a team of engineers working on our iOS andAndroid apps. You will work closely with and influence your peersin the mobile engineering and product management organizations toquickly and iteratively test new ideas and deliver the ones thatwork at scale. You’ll always be thinking about the user’sexperience and advocate for mobile users with the rest of thecompany focusing on growth initiatives. Our colocation work modelsupports employees both remotely and onsite each week. Employeesare required to be in the office on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdayand as needed by their manager or the company. In this role, you will: * Design,build, and maintain high quality software supporting growth andmonetization * Collaborate closely with product and othercross-functional partners to define requirements and deliversolutions * Develop subject matter expertise in our existingsystems and proactively suggest improvements and new ideas based onindustry best practices * Actively provide technical mentorship andguidance to other team members * Partner effectively with dependentand partner engineering teams, influencing their decisions anddesigns as appropriate * Drive incident investigations, postmortems, and retrospectives and effectively advocate for long-termimprovements to systems and processes What you bring to the table:* Multiple years of experience in mobile software development *Proven track record of technical leadership and coaching mobile(iOS / Android) development teams * Strong problem solving anddebugging skills on mobile software products * Expert level skillsin either iOS or Android development and some level of comfort withthe other. * Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges *Track record of approaching problems from a system levelperspective (e.g. thinking about how backend, frontend, data, etcwork together as a whole) * Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills across a range of audiences Bonus points ifyou have: * Experience with native Android, native iOS, and crossplatform mobile development approaches.
