We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile Staff Data Analyst to join our EMEA Data & Analytics team supporting HBOMaxStreaming. This role blends responsibilities across data analytics and data engineering—ideal for someone who can work across both stakeholder-facing insights and technical data pipeline development. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across business and product teams to understand their needs, translate them into data solutions and provide actionable insights that shape strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Liaisewith stakeholders across marketing, product, content and operations to gather, clarify and translate business needsintotechnical data specifications

Build and maintainrobustdashboards, automated reports and reusable data modelsusingtoolssuch as Looker or Tableau to power self-service analytics and visualisation

Design and implement scalable data modelsthat support advancedanalytics, customerbehaviouranalysis, product performance tracking and key KPIs

Lead automation efforts and collaboratewith data engineers and platform teams to streamline data ingestion, transformation, governance and validation processes

Work with large-scaledatasetsusing SQL or Python ensuringaccuracy, performance and scalability

Communicatecomplexanalyticalfindings in a clear and compellingway to non-technical audiences, identifyingopportunities for improved data collection, quality and processes

Mentor teammembers, promote best practices for data stewardship and developframeworksthatenhanceproductivity and collaboration

Explore new opportunitiesthroughcreativeanalytical and engineering methods

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree, MS or higher in a quantitative field such as computer science, data science, engineering, mathematics or statistics with over 7 years of experience in advanced data analytics, data engineering or similar roles

Strong expertise in SQL and proficiency in Python or another scripting language for data manipulation, automation and modelling using tools such as dbt and Airflow

Skilled in building reliable data models, transforming flawed or changing datasets into consistent outputs and developing reports and dashboards using tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI

Familiar with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift and experienced with big data technologies including Spark, Kafka and Delta Lake

Background in data science and machine learning with exposure to predictive modelling, statistical methods and experimentation is highly desirable

Experienced in managing workflows with Agile practices while leading multiple projects and navigating fast-paced, ambiguous environments with diverse stakeholders

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to dissect vague asks and deliver strategic insights in a clear and digestible way

Experience in media, streaming or other customer-focused industries is preferred

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
