Are you a curious Senior Staff Engineer with an interest in embedded machine learning and its progressive potential?

We are looking for someone to help redefine LEGO® Play Software Technology for better decision-making. Join us and help build the LEGO Group's digital future!

Core Responsibilities

  • This role is a key member of Play AI team, a part of the organisation building next generation of LEGO Play experience.

  • Implement efficient algorithms for real-time processing of sensor data.

  • Develop and implement Machine Learning algorithms for embedded systems, including microcontrollers and System-on-Chips for the next generation of Play.

  • Design and implement optimised software for low-power embedded systems.

  • Engineer products that follow highest coding standards, documentation and efficiency.

  • Stay up to date with the latest new Machine Learning and embedded systems technologies and tools.

Together, we will have the opportunity to shape the focus of ML to enrich Play experiences and work on the areas that ML can help to foster the curiosity and grow confidence in the child. Your ability to build ML solutions and develop core algorithms will enable us to drive innovation and discover the new dimensions of Play. We are coming to the offices 3 days per week.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.

  • Extensive experience on embedded products with a focus on Machine Learning applications, preferably already in the market.

  • Hands-on experience building Machine Learning models in production environments. Track record of delivering high quality solutions.

  • Experience with microcontroller architectures and programming.

  • Solid experience with software design, implementation, debugging and profiling.

  • Experience on using common software development tools

  • Preferably M.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or experience in a relevant field.
