Are you an experienced SQL Data Engineer / Developer ? Do you have strong experience in Microsoft SSIS ? Would you like to work for a leading financial services company who are enjoying a time of strong growth. They offer very flexible hybrid working and have an office in Edinburgh & Glasgow. This is a 24 month Fixed Term Contract (salaried) This role is not open to sponsorship and you need live within commuting distance of one of the offices. Key responsibilities: Design & develop solutions that meet the needs of the business and are consistent with the overall technology strategy. Ensures adherence to standards through training and education. Follows procedures to ensure successful implementation and promotion of code using source control. Participates in project work as required. Works with the Development Team Leader to plan / schedule work, regularly reporting progress and issues. Be involved in testing strategies Consider the full data lifecycle when delivering a solution. Work with the data team to ensure that data principles & data strategy are considered when analysing data. Ensure all supporting data models and supporting documentation is produced and maintained Required skills: Strong experience querying Microsoft SQL Server. Highly experienced in SSIS SSRS is ideal SQL Scripting and performance tuning Able to design, create, maintain database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures and function. Ability to demonstrate good collaboration skills with other team members, particularly providing input and feedback on requirements and design. Experience of Data Warehousing would be highly advantageous as would knowledge of PL/SQL and Visual Studio -C# For more information get in touch on
