Your contributions will create a positive, supportive environment where every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.
Youll be part of a dedicated team, assisting experienced Speech and Language Therapists while collaborating with teachers, creative arts therapists, and other professionals. Together, youll help children with neurodiverse needs overcome challenges and thrive in their learning and social environments.

A day in the life of a Speech and Language Therapist will involve:
- Taking a trauma informed approach to clinical work. Youll work with a small caseload of pupils who will have varying Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Learning disabilities and Autism. Youll be able to do this through 1-2-1 support, classroom work and group sessions.
- Working with the wider team to offer the best support to our pupils, including our onsite creative art therapists, teachers, and teaching assistants, and taking part in Multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Administration. Whilst doing all your great work with the pupils, well need you to keep their records up to date and carry out all the administrative tasks youd expect to come with this role. Dont worry though, during the school holidays you can work from home so that you have the space to do this without it impacting the time you spend with the pupils.
To be a successful Speech and Language Therapist, youll need:
- A recognised Degree in Speech and Language Therapy, along with HCPC Registration and membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language.
- Some experience of working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Good IT skills Well train you on how to use our systems, but it would help if you had a working understanding of using Microsoft packages like Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- A full driving licence. Whilst this role is based in a single location, there will be times that you need to attend meetings offsite which would require the use of a vehicle.
If you have experience working within the NHS, the best way for us to describe the level of experience needed for this role would be to consider it a Band 5 position.
