Solicitor/Cyfreithiwr Apply Start Date Not Specified All Locations UK All Locations is a required field All Departments Legal Services All Departments is a required field Advertising Salary National: £40,000 - £42,500, London £46,539 - £48,000 Vacancy Type Permanent External Advertising End Date 16 Mar 2025 Basis Full Time Hours Per Week 37 Home Vacancies Solicitor/Cyfreithiwr About The Role This role is an opportunity for a Solicitor to join a large team of twelve, with no line management responsibilities. This is a fast paced in-house legal team which works on a broad range of matters. The successful candidate will be required to provide legal advice across areas of law including but not limited to contracts, procurement, charity, litigation, insolvency, subsidy and state aid, debt recovery and public law. In addition to providing substantive advice, the role requires a solicitor to be able to research and upskill on new areas of law very swiftly. Further, it is expected that the solicitor will use his or her legal knowledge to improve the Fund's internal processes and precedents, and ensure that the Fund complies with statutory and regulatory frameworks at all times. The bulk of the solicitor's workload will consist of autonomous matters and legal queries. These will need to be answered in a timely manner. Further, the solicitor will also work on larger scale projects where the opportunity arises. Experience working in a fast paced in-house or private practice environment would be ideal, as would experience dealing with a range of clients, and experience with public law or public bodies. Knowledge of debt recovery/litigation and state aid/subsidy law would be beneficial, as would experience gained in the UK. Interview Date: We will complete shortlisting 17^th and look to interview 19^th and 20^th March 2025. Interviews will be conducted via MS Teams Location: Can be based anywhere in the UK - We have a hybrid approach to working, work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. The role can be based at any of our UK offices, these are Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Newcastle and Newtown.
