TheOpportunity:

In this role, you'll contribute to the development and maintenance of our Data Lake (Snowflake) product, supporting best practices across teams. As a Software/Data Engineer, you'll help design and implement software components, working with others to balance new improvements with ongoing stability. You'll collaborate closely with team members, engineering leads, and product managers to deliver value to clients, and assist in resolving technical issues to support smooth delivery.

Our Stack:

Inthisrole,youwillutilizeacombinationofPython, SQL, Snowflake, DBT, and some C# in yourday to day. We do not require experience with all of these, but one or two is preferred.

Thisrolewillprovide opportunitiestoget yourhandson varioustasks/technologiessuch as:

Develop and support scalable data storage solutions using Snowflake under the guidance of senior engineers. Write and optimize SQL queries within the Snowflake environment, identifying and resolving performance issues with support when needed. Contribute to discussions on codebase improvements to support maintainability and performance. Participate in product planning by providing technical input on feasibility and effort estimation. Help design solutions that meet current business needs, with consideration for scalability and flexibility. Suggest and implement improvements to development workflows and tools as part of ongoing team enhancements. Identify potential technical risks in your work and communicate them to the team. Collaborate with peers to share knowledge and contribute to team growth. Work with Product and Engineering teams to turn business problems into clear, actionable development tasks.

Skills/Experience Needed

Background in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly with peers and cross-functional collaborators Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable breaking down complex challenges into actionable steps Curious and self-motivated, with a desire to continuously grow technical skills Able to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with the team Experience contributing to data projects through various phases of the development lifecycle Familiarity with data migration and optimization practices in modern data warehousing environments Proficient in SQL and experienced with data transformation tools (., DBT) Hands-on experience with modern data warehousing features such as data versioning, automated data ingestion, and performance optimization for storage and queries Awareness of data compliance, security considerations, and industry-standard best practices
