We are looking forSoftware Development Engineers obsessed with customer success,passionate about simplification and design-thinking and excited todive deep into the growth opportunity of delivering new productcategories to new customer types in an emerging technology space.The position represents a rare opportunity to be a part of afast-growing business, and help shape the technology and product aswe grow. Our technical challenges involve back-end softwareengineering, edge computing, applied science, and front enddevelopment. We need to develop and apply quantitative algorithms(e.g. machine learning, computer vision, network optimization) tomake industry process analysis relevant and actionable foroperations engineers. We build software and information systems toprocess massive scale operational data, infer informationrelationship across complex systems, train decision models andapply them to critical operations at industrial scale. We work veryclosely with innovative, market leading customers to driveeffective digital transformation of entire industries and thesupply chains that support them. As a developer on our team, you’llown code end-to-end from design to development, and work closelywith senior technical leaders within the team and across AWS.You’ll have a sound understanding of computer science fundamentalsand practical industry experience, working across the stack withtechnology involving modern databases, AI, ML, Big Data and more.About the team Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s mostcomprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. Experience programmingwith at least one software programming language 4. 3+ years of fullsoftware development life cycle, including coding standards, codereviews, source control management, build processes, testing, andoperations experience 5. Bachelors degree in computer science orequivalent 6. Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3,AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis and SageMaker Amazon is committed to adiverse and inclusive workplace. Ourcompensation reflects the cost of labor across several USgeographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from$129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/yearin our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number offactors including market location and may vary depending onjob-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a totalcompensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity,sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be providedas part of a total compensation package, in addition to a fullrange of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
