We are currently seeking an entry level Community Manager Intern with a key focus on social media and community management, influencer management, and content creation to join our growing gaming department within the agency. Reporting directly into the Account Director (Gaming), the ideal candidate has a passion for working within the gaming industry, experience of building and engaging communities, has a clear eye for content that will appeal to gamers, and has a spark in their eye for proactively thinking outside the box. To begin, you will work directly with one core client - a web3 games development studio who have a roadmap to publish multiple games over the coming 12 months. There will be growing scope to work across our other gaming clients, including a VR gaming studio. AT A GLANCE: Full-time contract with hybrid working. London (2-3 office days per week) - must be UK based. Must understand and have a passion for video game marketing and community building. Ideally understands emerging web3 tech, especially web3 gaming. Competitive salary based on experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work directly with the Account Director and Social Media & Content Manager within the agencys gaming department, alongside the wider Creative Studio, to deliver work against client objectives, grow their social channels, and drive engagement and Interaction amongst the community. Take a leading role in the day-to-day posting, responding and strategy of the clients Discord and Telegram channel. Support the Social Media & Content Manager with new content ideas, campaign ideas, and opportunities that can be presented to the client. Support the Social Media & Content Manager on scheduling and posting content onto Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter (X). Report any community issues, game bugs raised, and other game-related tickets raised within the Discord channel. Support the Account Director and Social Media & Content Manager with the management of content creators and streamers. This includes creator scheduling, documentation, briefing, and clipping. Proactively come to the table with new, exciting ideas for our clients that will help them achieve their objectives across social media and beyond. Participation in regular client meetings and presenting of creative concepts. Clipping and editing social-first content to use across channels from meme content to social-first video, gameplay clips, and stream clips. REQUIREMENTS Must understand and have a passion for video game marketing and community building. You are a social native, understanding how different social platforms work and operate, aware of trending content and movements, and know what It takes to engage gamers. You understand the requirements for social channel growth, including YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, and can manage the process from video concept through to distribution. You have direct experience in managing closed community channels such as Discord and Telegram. You have the skills and know-how to clip and edit content from streams and other sources, producing engaging content for audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are proactive, enthusiastic & passionate and genuinely care about your work and instils the same passion in your team members. Most importantly, you’re a team player who actively enjoys rolling your sleeves and getting stuck in. Must live a commutable distance to AND THE NEW’s London HQ.
