I have a unique opportunity for a Site Reliability Engineer to work with a highly innovative and well-funded big data start-up that is supporting various defence and intelligence agencies. My client has created a platform that enables defence agencies around the world to capture data on a petabyte scale in real time in just a matter of seconds. Due to the sensitive nature of their clients and data, the Site Reliability Engineer will need to hold active DV clearance . They are currently seeking someone with expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure and strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills, such as Terraform and CloudFormation. The SRE will design and maintain scalable and secure Azure infrastructure to ensure high reliability and availability for petabyte-scale data processing. The team is globally distributed, with people in the US, Canada and the UK with a mix of data science, cybersecurity, and software engineering expertise. In the UK, they have locations in Poole, Hereford and Cheltenham from which you can be based, or this role can be done remotely within the UK. Requirements: Azure Cloud Infrastructure IaC (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi) Active DV Clearance Nice to have: Experience working in the cybersecurity, intelligence, and defence sectors. Experience dealing with big data environments and tools.
