The role


As a SHE Data Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This isn’t your typical data role. As part of our Safety team, you’ll harness Synergi Life data - From events and audits to inspections - to uncover risks, spot trends, and drive actionable improvements. Your insights will shape safety initiatives across the business, helping us build a safer future and elevate our standards across Royal Navy operations.

Day-to-day, you’ll deliver impactful reports and dashboards that drive safety decisions. Translate data into actionable insights, track key metrics, and oversee inspection activities to support continuous improvement.

Produce reporting packs, charts, and dashboards to support leadership meetings and strategic decision-making.


Analyse safety data to identify hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities, translating trends into actionable insights.
Compile and distribute key safety statistics, including accident totals, working hours, and incident frequency rates.
Administer and monitor planned inspections across the SHE department and senior leadership to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the SHE Data Analyst

Proven experience as a Data Analyst, with a strong grasp of data interpretation and reporting.


Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable, with excellent organisational skills.
Proficient in Excel (including advanced functions), Business Intelligence tools, and QlikView.
Solid understanding of statistical analysis and trending methodologies.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Qualifications for the SHE Data Analyst

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a solid foundation in data analysis and interpretation, backed by a degree or equivalent qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Analytics.


GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or above

Security Clearance


The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
