Senior User Experience Designer

AudioStack has the biggest selection of text-to-speech, speech-to-speech and voice-cloning solutions in the market and is constantly expanding and improving our selection for our customers. You will own the processes for evaluating, integrating and automating these processes. You'll also take a key role in developing our product and customer analytics at AudioStack. You will be working as part of our AI/ML team working closely with our machine learning engineers, software engineers and product owners to ensure we are best in the industry.
What you’ll be doing
This is a senior individual contributor role where you will bring your expertise designing best-in-class user experiences, to work primarily with the Stacks team.
Share updates and communicate design rationale clearly to the team and stakeholders, using storytelling to engage and persuade others; Represent the team’s work to senior leaders at AudioStack and proactively elicit feedback.
Actively contribute to team roadmaps and influence product direction. You will make important decisions about product vision, roadmap, and how it works, looks, feels, and behaves, while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Support and Leadership.
Design holistic user flows and experiences, not just individual screens, by applying strong principles of UX design; Deliver timely, well thought through design assets as needed to maximise developer focus time.
Champion a culture of research and validation to inform the team's design work; Leverage your understanding of user needs, research insights, and competitive analysis to make informed design decisions; Adapt your process to suit the fast-paced shipping cadence at AudioStack.
Lead design craft by example, setting a high bar of quality and mentoring other designers on the team. You will communicate your ideas efficiently through concept sketches, flow diagrams, product mock-ups and high-fidelity prototypes.
What a typical week in this role might look like
Meeting our customers, getting to know their use cases, watching them use the software - 5 hours per week
Design ideation for new workflows and for feature additions/iterations on existing workflows - 15 hours per week
Looking ahead/design strategy - 5 hours per week
Leadership of design-related stakeholder comms, feedback and workshopping - 10 hours per week
Design reviews with other designers/collaborators/line manager - 5 hours per week
Requirements
First and foremost, desire to have an influential role with the product, as a driver for design process and product strategy, communicating design ideas persuasively and compellingly to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
5+ years experience as a UX designer, with at least 3 years working on B2B SAAS.
At least 1 year experience working in the advertising or adtech industries.
3 years experience working as part of a cross-functional development team in an in-house role, using methodologies such as Agile, scrum framework, Kanban.
Proactiveness and desire for face time with end users. Your special skill is drawing out customer insights with investigative interviewing skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills - you enjoy identifying gaps/opportunities and enjoy deeply investigating ambiguous problems.
User experience design expertise, demonstrated by a portfolio that evidences your track record of shipping simple, elegant solutions to complex problems, leading to positive outcomes for users (as part of cross-functional teams).
Strong engineering literacy - you’re able to get to grips with using the AudioStack API and understanding the system design. You love working with engineers and solving complex technical problems.
Strong, well-rounded technical background working with all the tools you need to get the job done, including Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and analytics platforms.
Empathy for creative workflows: you have experience using either video production or audio production software for creative projects.
