Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader with a passion for building and leading high-performance teams. What you’ll be doing: Lead a multidisciplinary team of machine learning engineers and researchers focused on 2D rendering and game streaming. Oversee the design, prototyping, development and i nnovation of visual computing technologies into our products. Manage project timelines, ensuring high-quality deliverables and c ollaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovation. Play a key role in aligning the team’s work with the overall strategic objectives of the Future Technologies Group of Sony Interactive Entertainment, balancing the demands of ongoing projects with the need for continuous improvement and technical debt management. Meet with stakeholders to build partnerships and establish positive and trustworthy relationships. What we’re looking for: You are a strong advocate for personal and professional growth, ensuring that every team member feels valued and heard. Your approach to leadership is proactive, adaptable, and driven by a deep commitment to the success of both your team and the organization. Experience in coaching and mentoring team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment. You have the courage to speak up and take smart risks. You have strong and well-formed technical ideas that are weakly held; you can discuss, listen and participate in a passionate debate. You are experienced in managing team communications in a large organization. Domain Expertise: Extensive technical experience and track record of accomplishments in one or more of: machine learning, computer vision, video streaming, game engine rendering. Proven track record in managing and delivering complex projects within these areas. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to visual computing and machine learning (e.g., C++, Python,PyTorch, OpenGL, DirectX). Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and their application in visual computing. Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in one or more of: machine learning, computer vision, video streaming, game engine rendering. Experience in the interactive entertainment industry or a related field is highly desirable.
