Senior Machine Learning Architect

We are seeking a visionary Senior Machine Learning (ML) Architect to spearhead our ML initiatives and drive the evolution of our data landscape. As a Machine Learning (ML) Architect , your role will be integral to Basware’s AI strategy. You’ll be at the forefront of designing the target architecture for our new ML and Generative AI initiatives. Most importantly, you’ll design and build production-grade AI solutions and platforms together with our internal teams and external partners. Your expertise will be crucial in determining how different functionalities fit into our overall structure. In addition, you’ll be the custodian of the overall shared ML architecture and ML Ops process within our organization. This will involve guiding distributed teams to tap into centralized resources and frameworks. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of AI products and the ML architecture within our organization. Products and Cloud Engineering & Operations business function is responsible for ensuring that Basware continues to provide its customers with industry leading SaaS solutions to deliver true automation for the CFO’s office. As a global team, they create and execute the product strategy, new product innovations, roadmap, design, product development, and product launches for Basware’s global product portfolio. Together with other Baswareans, Products and Cloud Engineering & Operation ensures that our customers can successfully meet their business objectives through cooperating with Basware and using our product and service portfolio. , To succeed in this role, you need the following skills and qualifications: In-depth knowledge of key architecture domains: infrastructure architecture (on-premise and cloud architectures), integration architecture (including integration platforms), data architecture (modeling and data management), application architecture, security architecture Experience in mapping out architecture-level solutions for both business decision-makers and the implementing experts in an understandable way. Deep understanding of the logic and practicalities related to machine learning solutions and their development. Experience in designing & developing production-ready and robust ML and AI systems. Experience in setting up ML/AI Platforms and have built an LLM application, preferably with some agentic features like tool usage, and are familiar with different LLM API’s from AWS Bedrock (etc. Cohere, Claude) and OpenAI (preferably Azure OpenAI). Familiarity with vector databases for RAG implementation (Pgvector, Qdrant, or something else). Experience on implementing ML Ops framework for a ML team. Both the implementation of a training pipeline, but also experience on observability and operational efficiency.
