Requirements

This role presents a unique opportunity to work alongside a talented team. The members of this team have significant experience, having been employed by major global product, technology, and consulting firms, including but not limited to Facebook, PayPal, Google, Atlassian, Thoughtworks, and many others. 

We are developing a unique product in the data analytics and machine learning space and are looking to expand our frontend development team. The quality of our user experience is a crucial part of our system’s value proposition and as such we are investing to ensure it is a world class product. We are looking for a new team member who is passionate about developing well designed, intuitive web interfaces to join our exciting journey. 

We are seeking experienced TypeScript developer who is an expert with React. The primary focus of your role will be to developing a system for configuring complex business logic and machine learning experiments. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality products are important. 

Responsibilities 

  • Developing a single page web application using React and Redux Toolkit 
  • Working with a small highly performant team of senior engineers 
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries 
  • Collaborating with designers and stakeholders to create the user experience 
  • Ensuring the frontend code is well tested in automated manner 

Technical skills 

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript (4+ years) 
  • Thorough understanding of React and its core principles 
  • Prior experience with popular React workflows 
  • Familiarity with REST APIs 
  • Familiarity with HTML / CSS 
  • Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools 
  • Experience with common frontend development tools 
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions 
  • Familiarity with Git and comfortable with common source control workflows 
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerisation 
  • In depth experience of unit and integration testing of React components and UI flows

  • Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package.  
  • Pension: Up to 5% employer contribution, matching up to a 5% employee contribution, for a total of up to 10%.

  • Equipment Allowance: £1,500 for UK team members, plus Apple MacBook Pro laptops and necessary accessories.  
  • Company Sick Leave: 10 days per annum, includes coverage for employee’s family.  
  • Antenatal Support: Paid time off for antenatal appointments, including classes recommended by health professionals.  
  • Terminal Illness Benefit: Three months' continuance of salary at full pay.
