What You'll Do
The BCG Henderson Institute (BHI) is seeking an experienced senior editor to join its team. BHI is BCG’s internal think tank, focused on developing rigorous, forward-looking research and thought leadership. Through a combination of Fellows and permanent researchers, BHI content covers a wide range of themes and business topics targeted to a C-suite audience. Selected current research topics include technology/AI; climate, energy, and sustainability; talent and demography; strategy; and geopolitics.
 
As the senior editor, you will work directly with the executive editor -- who leads the editorial function -- to develop world-class content from BHI’s research. This content is created across a range of formats, and for a variety of channels. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the conversation in the C-suite with novel thought leadership, and to work closely with experts doing leading-edge research in their field.
 
YOU’RE GOOD AT
* You know how to find the must-read story in a body of research or data set, and how to tell that story for a target audience.
* You have high-level editorial skills and can help authors with a variety of tasks, such as narrative development, writing support, and developmental and top editing.
* You are a clear and effective communicator; you listen actively and can influence others in a constructive manner.
* You relish being part of a small, dedicated, hard-working, and innovative team, and have an appetite for creative thinking and problem solving.
* You have a deep understanding of content strategy, and you know what it takes to get published in premium publications.

What You'll Bring
* You have managed a large and diverse content portfolio and have experience working on wide range of themes and business topics.
* You have 7+ years of editing experience working in a fast-paced professional setting.
* You possess excellent project management skills, with have demonstrated experience and comfort juggling concurrent assignments and with senior stakeholder management.
* You have worked in/with a variety of publishing formats, which may include long-form, blogs, podcasts, video, and/or infographics (among others).
* You collaborate seamlessly with colleagues in a variety of roles and functions, across geographies.

Who You'll Work With
You’ll work with BHI’s Executive Editor, who leads BHI’s editorial function, BHI Fellows and researchers, BHI marketing and operations colleagues, as well as colleagues in BCG’s global marketing and content organization. You’ll be part of a global team, enabling you to collaborate with colleagues in BCG offices around the world.
