As a Senior Data Scientist at Kobalt, you’ll share this vision, working with stakeholders and engineers across the business to build production-grade ML solutions to ensure that our creators are fairly compensated.

With access to vast quantities of data from music streaming platforms from across the world, you’ll work with other Data Scientists and engineers to solve problems within the music industry. Key use cases include our entity linkage service to optimise royalty collection, data-driven talent scouting, music revenue forecasting and anomaly detection.

Essentials:

An excellent grasp of the Python data stack: pandas, numpy, scipy and sklearn

A deep understanding of statistical reasoning and the ability to design and run relevant experiments

Experience with leveraging a wide range of machine learning approaches to solve relevant problems

The ability to write reliable, well-tested, maintainable code that will stand up in a production environment

A strong grasp of SQL for retrieving, transforming and cleaning data

Excellent organisational skills

Comfortable articulating analytical results and modelling approaches clearly and concisely to a wide range of audiences

Thrives in a collaborative atmosphere, working with multidisciplinary teams to drive data products and solutions

Nice to haves:

Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem

PySpark and Scala would be great assets

A good understanding of containerisation (Docker)

Experience deploying machine learning models in a production environment

Experience with data visualisation tools

A love of music and a keen desire to work in the Music industry

What do we offer:

Salary Range: Discuss with the Talent Partner.

Flexible working. KTech operates with a hybrid working policy (fully remote possible).

25 days annually. 1 additional wellbeing day per quarter. Half day summer Fridays (July and August) & Christmas closure.

Meeting free Fridays afternoon outside of the summer months. We use this as dedicated learning time.

5% pension contribution.

Health Insurance.
